Lingang New City (Chinese: 临港新城; Lingang New City, Shanghai Harbour City) is a planned city being built since 2003. It shall be finished in 2020. Localized in the Pudong district of Shanghai, China.
It was designed by the German architects Gerkan, Marg and Partners.
The site is located at the tip of the peninsula between Yangtze and Qiantang rivers, on Hangzhou Bay. It is 60 km SW of downtown Shanghai. An important portion of the site had to be reclaimed from the sea.
